DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (DBT)

New Perspectives offers DBT informed individual psychotherapy on a limited basis. DBT treatment is most effective when it includes individual therapy and a weekly skills training group.

What: DBT Skills Training Group
When: Thursdays, 6-7:30 pm
Where: 5026 Geary Blvd., San Francisco

DBT skills are designed to help individuals manage the emotional and relational crises of their lives. The skills group uses acceptance and change strategies within a warm and validating environment, emphasizing mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation and distress tolerance. Groups meet weekly and are payable at the beginning of the month. This is a low-fee group, * participants must demonstrate financial need based on income. Participants must also be in weekly therapy.
